I wonder is there something I can do today;
I’ve racked my little brain in vain.
If only some adventure were to come my way,
A caper to delight and entertain.
Then, of a sudden, Mother finds the pill.
She says: “Why don’t we call your good friend Bill?”
And as I watch her on the phone,
I can see my future’s sewn —
The mere thought of it gives me a thrill!
Let’s have a play date,
Just me and my best friend.
We’ll go down to the park,
And for a lark we’ll play pretend.
Let’s have play date,
Our moms will set it up.
Oh, we’ll pack stacks of snacks,
Don’t forget my Sippy cup!
And we’re gonna hop around – hop, hop, hop, hop.
And we’re gonna hit the ground – flop, flop, flop, flop.
And we’re gonna do karate – chop, chop, chop, chop.
Until the sun starts going down.
And we’ll wade in the creek – splash, splash, splash, splash.
Take a break so we can eat – gnash, gnash, gnash, gnash.
We’ve got the world on a string,
We can do just ‘bout anything!
Let’s have a play date …
